[ARCHIVED] May 21st Phase 2 of Plan to Reopen Kansas

May 21, 2020 

The Governor of the State of Kansas, Laura Kelley, directed by Executive Order 20-34 has ordered Kansas into phase 2 of the AD Astra: A Plan to Reopen Kansas, which will become effective at 12:00 am, May 22, 2020. The plan outlines the gathering limitations, activities and establishments which are and are not allowed to open in this phase. For more information please go to www.covid.ks.gov

The Jefferson County Health Department recommends that all high-risk or vulnerable individuals should continue to stay home except for essential needs. 

The following precautions are recommended for all individuals to prevent the spread of illness; stay home if possible, wash hands often, avoid close contact with others, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, and cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when out in the public and unable to maintain a 6 foot distance.
