All pre-employment tests must be received before the applicant is allowed to begin work.
Health Insurance will be effective the first of the month following 30 days from the date of hire.
KPERS starts immediately upon hire date.
Leave benefits (like sick and vacation) don’t start until the beginning of the 1st full pay period after the hire date.
New hires need to sign up for benefits as soon as possible after hire date.
Make an appointment with the Clerk's office for orientation of your new employee, (allow at least an hour).
New hires should bring the following to the Clerk’s office when filling out their paperwork: Driver’s License, Social Security Card or Passport, Direct Deposit bank information, Names, Birth dates and Social Security numbers of those to be listed on the health insurance plan.
